Earlier this year I visited the garden at The Coach House, Ampney Crucis. From the moment I walked through the entrance gates I knew I was in for a treat.
Mel Tanner’s charming easy manner, her
passion for plants and intimate, hands-on
knowledge of the garden’s creation
make her a perfect host.
The attention to detail is impressive. The quality of the planting and hard landscaping combined with clever use of hedging and vistas ensure that there is a new delight round every corner.
If you get the chance to visit jump at it, these photos are just a taster.

This looks beautiful, and interesting, but rather a long way for me. I am going to explore some gardens in Suffolk and Norfolk during August/September
Hope you post lots of photos, I have not visited many gardens in your area.
What a beautiful place. Your photos are great!
This garden is so well designed and maintained it’s a brilliant place to take photographs.
It looks so tranquil. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos.
A very impressive garden. Glad you took the photo of the scarecrow–it’s a homely touch.
The scarecrow is sturdily made and very appealing. There are other very personal touches, including a wonderful statue of a dog, but I was wary of showing too much and spoiling the fun for future visitors.
